The Parkinson’s UK helpline is a free and confidential service providing support to anyone affected by Parkinson’s. If your query cannot be resolved by the person taking your call, it will be passed on to a Parkinson’s Nurse Specialist or a Local Advisor as appropriate.
It is open from 9am to 6pm Mondays to Fridays and 10am to 2pm on Saturdays.
Parkinson’s Nurse Specialist
The best way to contact one of our Nurse Specialists is by email.
Mark your email Attn : Rose McKinlay for Surrey residents
Mark your email Attn : Jennifer Honey for Hampshire residents
There is a phone number 01483 908183; it is though unlikely that either Rose or Jennifer will be available to take your call and you will have to leave a message.
There is also a Parkinson’s Nurse Specialist working in the Frimley Health Trust. Her role is to ensure that your Parkinson’s needs are understood when you are in hospital. Her name is Evphi Kalkentera. If you are in hospital locally and she has not come to see you, then please request a visit from her.

Tina Kislingbury ( North East Hampshire residents)
The post for Surrey residents is vacant at present
The best way of contacting a PLA is through the Parkinson’s UK helpline. The helpline may be able to resolve your query directly or will let the PLA know you need more detailed local support.
The Local Advisors cannot handle medical queries. They do act as a signposting service and should be able to offer advice about benefit claims.
