In their words: “Every visit includes delivery of a hot meal and dessert, along with a caring wellbeing check from our Community Team Members. Princess Royal Trust for Carers provide emergency planning for carers, tackling the question “Are you concerned what will happen to the person you care for if an emergency with you arises?”
They encourage carers to make an emergency plan which could provide emergency support free of charge for up to 48 hours. The idea is that this gives family, friends and neighbours time to get organised. You can contact the Princess Royal Trust for Carers on 01264 835246 to discuss how to set up your plan.
They also run monthly Carers’ Hubs and have specific links with GP surgeries. A full account of their services can be read here.
Safe and Well is a free home fire safety visit, tailored to an individual’s needs that can help protect you and your home from fire.
You are eligible for this visit if you are over 65 and/or who have mobility issues, meaning your ability to escape in an emergency could be hindered.

There is an Everyone active gym in Fleet and Yateley
I recently spoke to a member who had some simple improvements done at home which made it much easier for her husband to cope. Most obviously this was a wide step and a sturdy handrail at the front door.
She had “got the ball rolling” by calling Adult Social Services and that call led to a visit from an occupational therapist within a few days (and this was during the lockdown). She recommended some improvements which were completed promptly. It also led to some visits by a physiotherapist. So , just one phone call reaped rewards!

The Camberley Care website describes their service as follows : “The core of the service is the provision of a car transport service to provide reliable, safe and low-cost car services. Here is some information from Rushmoor Voluntary Service about their RVS Home Help Scheme.
“The scheme offers “practical help with light housework and shopping – helping people to remain independent at home for as long as possible. It is a not for profit service set up to provide light housework and shopping to frail and elderly people living in Farnborough, Aldershot and parts of Hart. Referrals for the service can be made by individuals, family members or from GPs, Social workers and other agencies. Our priority is to offer the service to the most frail and elderly to enable people to remain independent and in their own home for as long as possible. RVS Home Help is a ‘paid for’ service charged at £20.40 per hour.”
